Our Staff

	Steve Morgan - Lead Pastor e-mail Steve started Blue Sky Church in Bellevue, WA with a team of people during the summer of 2004. He was previously the lead pastor of Vine Community Church in Carbondale, Illinois (a university student based church planted in 1995). His main responsibilities at Blue Sky include teaching, leader development, and overseeing other pastors and staff. Steve also oversees our network of churches. You might call him a busy guy. Steve and his wife, Shu-hui, have four great kids.
Ernest Menocal -Executive Pastor email Ern oversees Thursday night Discipleship Community and helps develop, train, and connect leaders at Blue Sky. He also oversees all of the other staff. Losing at games to his wife Laura, making funny faces at his new daughter Emaline, and tinkering with tools in the garage are some of his favorite pastimes.
	David Chery - Associate Pastor email Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, David and his wife, Laura, moved to Seattle from Illinois to help start Blue Sky Church. David oversees Blue Sky’s Small Groups and Monday night Discipleship Community. You can often find him doing one of his three favorite things: reading books, spending time with his wife, and hanging out with friends.
Luke Williams - Associate Pastor email Luke is in charge of student outreach, Wednesday night Discipleship Community, and facility management. He is also the network assistant to our network of churches. In his free time Luke enjoys climbing mountains, playing soccer, and spending time with his wife Julia.
	Nelson Liu - Associate Pastor email Nelson is a busy guy. He oversees our Hospitality Teams on Sunday and trains team members for all of the Sunday service teams. He makes sure that everything is running smoothly for both of our Sunday services. He also leads Tuesday night Discipleship Community. Nelson and his wife Amy like spending time outdoors exploring with Nelson's faithful dog Roger at their side (or way ahead of them somewhere with Nelson chasing him down).
Brian Schneider - Associate Pastor e-mail Brian is our newest staff member. He will lead one of our Discipleship Communities this fall and also be in charge of helping connect university students at Blue Sky, and our Help to the Poor program. Needless to say, he is going to be busy. When he has spare time he likes to spend it with his wife Maile.

Leaders

	Chris Miller - Worship Leader email Originally from Sandusky, Ohio, he relocated to Seattle in May of 2004 to help start Blue Sky. In addition to leading worship and training new leaders; Chris oversees our bookstore, leads a small group, and shares in the designing of our graphics. Chris enjoys coffee, reading good books, and talking to his wife Kendall.
Ben Cole - Kids Director email Ben is our full time Kids' Director. He will be in charge of running all of our kids' programs from newborn through 5th grade. Ben and his wife Teresa love taking their dog Ocho on long walks up in the Issaquah Highlands.
	Marie Booth - Kids Assistant email Marie is our Blue Sky Kids Assistant. She takes care of planning, coordinating, training, and lots of the behind the scenes things that have to get done for our kids' program to be fantastic week in and week out! Marie is just magic at cake making and decorating, befriend her if it's getting close to your birthday!
Todd Niemann - Office Administrator email Todd oversees all of our graphic design, printing, computer and tech stuff, along with taking care of other office administrative duties. Much of the time you'll find Todd with a camera in hand, since photography is his favorite hobby. He and his wife Leta have their hands full raising their two children.
	Torrey Lumpe - Treasurer Accountant email Torrey works part-time as the bookkeeper/accountant for Blue Sky Church. She and her husband, Andrew (along with their four children), live in Sammamish. Torrey loves gardening, bright sunshine, and cooking (you should try her chocolate chip cookies!).
Sarah Erickson - Women's Leadership Coordinator email Sarah works part-time helping develop, coordinate, and coach women leaders at Blue Sky. She and her husband Joshua came out in the summer of 2004 from Illinois to help start Blue Sky Church. You might see her chasing her busy toddler Caedmon around Blue Sky.
	Scott Bobsin - Youth Leader email Scott is our Youth Leader. He oversees and leads the Junior High and High School groups at Blue Sky. He spends lots of time planning youth events, small groups, and parties. One thing you probably don't know about Scott: he is deadly accurate at Lazer Tag. Scott also oversees and plans all of Blue Sky's retreats and parties. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Laura.
