Our Staff

	Steve Morgan - Lead Pastor email Steve started Blue Sky Church in Bellevue, WA with a team of people during the summer of 2004. He was previously the lead pastor of Vine Community Church in Carbondale, Illinois (a university student based church planted in 1995). His main responsibilities at Blue Sky include teaching, leader development, and overseeing other pastors. Steve also oversees our network of churches. You might call him a busy guy. David Chery - Staff Pastor email Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, David and his wife, Laura, moved to Seattle from Illinois to help start Blue Sky Church. David oversees the staff and daily operations along with Monday night Discipleship Community. He also helps to develop, train, and connect leaders at Blue Sky. You can often find him doing one of his three favorite things: reading books, spending time with his wife, and hanging out with friends.
	Luke Williams - Staff Pastor email Luke is in charge of Wednesday night Discipleship Community. He is also the network assistant to our network of churches. In his free time Luke enjoys playing soccer, reading, and spending time with his wife Julia.
Nelson Liu - Staff Pastor email Nelson oversees all of our small groups and Discipleship Communities. He also leads Tuesday night Discipleship Community. Nelson and his wife Amy like spending time outdoors exploring with Nelson's faithful dog Roger at their side (or way ahead of them somewhere with Nelson chasing him down).
	Brian Schneider - Staff Pastor email Brian leads a Thursday Discipleship Community, is in charge of helping connect university students at Blue Sky, oversees our Help to the Poor program, and leads special event setup and teardown teams. When he has spare time he likes to spend it with his wife Maile.
Dave Bieraugel - Staff Pastor email Dave is our newest staff pastor. He leads all of our Sunday hospitality and cleaning teams, and also heads up our facility oversight (basically, making sure the building doesn't burn down). In his time off Dave tames the great outdoors partaking all sorts of outside activities and sports.

Leaders

	Chris Miller - Worship Leader email Originally from Sandusky, Ohio, he relocated to Seattle in May of 2004 to help start Blue Sky. In addition to leading worship and training new leaders; Chris oversees our network worship, leads a small group, and oversees the designing of our graphics. Chris enjoys making lattes, landscaping, reading good books, and spending time with his wife Kendall.
Caroline Dennis - Kids Director email Caroline is our full time Kids Director. She is in charge of running all of our kids' programs from newborn through 5th grade. Caroline enjoys getting outside, hanging out with her friends, and making soup.
	Marie Booth - Kids Assistantemail Marie is our Blue Sky Kids Assistant. She takes care of planning, coordinating, training, and lots of the behind the scenes things that have to get done for our kids' program to be fantastic week in and week out! Marie is just magic at cake making and decorating; befriend her if it's getting close to your birthday!
Todd Niemann - Office Administrator email Todd takes care of our office administrative duties, helps with our graphic design and printing, and does a bit of the computer and tech stuff. Much of the time you'll find Todd with a camera in hand, since photography is his favorite hobby. He and his wife Leta have their hands full raising their three children.
	Torrey Lumpe - Treasurer Accountant email Torrey works part-time as the bookkeeper/accountant for Blue Sky Church. She and her husband, Andrew (along with their four children), live in Sammamish. Torrey loves gardening, bright sunshine, and cooking (you should try her chocolate chip cookies!).
Sarah Erickson - Women's Leadership Coordinator email Sarah works part-time helping develop, coordinate, and coach women leaders at Blue Sky. She and her husband Joshua came out in the summer of 2004 from Illinois to help start Blue Sky Church. You might see her chasing her two busy boys around Blue Sky.
	Scott Bobsin - Youth Leader email Scott is our Youth Leader. He oversees and leads the Junior High and High School groups at Blue Sky. He spends lots of time planning youth events, small groups, and parties. One thing you probably don't know about Scott: he is deadly accurate at Lazer Tag. Scott also oversees and plans all of Blue Sky's retreats and parties. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Laura.
