Newborn-12months
Nursery
We strive for Blue Sky's nursery to be a safe and warm environment where babies can grow and learn about God. Our nursery has soothing music, cribs, comfy chairs, rugs, blankets, and lots of baby toys and books. We value personal attention for our babies.

Will my baby be safe?
When you put your child in the nursery, they will be received and cared for by teachers and assistants who we know and trust, and who have been thoroughly trained by our Kids' Program director or team leaders. We value the safety and welfare of our children. Every Kids' worker and committed volunteer at Blue Sky is subject to a background check, as well as completing a thorough application. We also have procedures in place for the pick-up and drop-off of children to keep them safe. Babies may only be checked in and released to the parent with the identification sticker given to them upon registration. This sticker matches one your child wears on their back which has their name, parents' names, and allergy information.

When and how can I place my child in the nursery?
Our Nursery workers will be ready to welcome your child up to 20 minutes before the service begins. You can drop your child off any time during the service.
- If it's your first time at Blue Sky, please go to the Newborn-12 Months Check-In located at the East end of our main lobby. Depending on age and child mobility some parents opt to bump their children up to the 1-2 years room.
- You may drop a diaper bag off with the Nursery teacher, as well as directions such as naps, feeding schedules, and allergy information. Please clearly label items in the diaper bag.
- Feel free to ask the Nursery teacher any questions and share any information that will help us learn about your child's specific needs.
- You will receive an identification sticker that is unique to your child and has their name and allergy information on it. This is required for pick-up after the service is over.
- A pager will be checked out to you. In the event that the Nursery workers need you to come back to the Nursery during the service (if the baby is excessively fussy, etc.), you will receive a vibrating page.
- Parents should return to the Nursery to retrieve their child immediately following the service. This will help to reduce any apprehension your child feels as they await your return. The Nursery workers will retrieve your pager.
