Why Small Groups?Small Groups are the life of our church community and the key to our growth as individuals. If you only attend Sunday worship, you may attend for months and not really get to know many people--that's just how it works in larger gatherings! Our groups are designed to help you make new friends, apply the Bible to your life, and receive the support and encouragement that we all need. We think you'll find them casual, fun, and relevant.
Each Small Group meets for two hours, one night a week, for three nights out of the month. The fourth week is for relaxing, parties, and service to the community.
How do you find the right group for you? Here's what we've found works best for most people:
Step 1: Check out our Small Groups on-line or at our Group Life Center. Start Here!
Step 2: Meet a couple of our group leaders before or after the Sunday service.
Step 3: Try out a group or two and find the one that fits you best.
What are Discipleship Communities?
A disciple is a person who is becoming increasingly devoted to Jesus and His teachings. Jesus told His church to "make disciples" of all people, so our purpose is to help you become a disciple of Jesus in your beliefs, character, and lifestyle. Our Discipleship Communities (or DCs) meet the first Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each month at Blue Sky Church to worship, share the Lord's Supper, receive Bible training, pray, and make new friends.
Each Discipleship Community is a once a month gathering of the Small Groups that regularly meet on that specific night- plus new friends from our Sunday service. If you're already in a Small Group, attend the DC on the night of your group. If you're not in a Small Group, just pick the night that works best for you. You are invited!
